Solar Powered 3D Prints

Make your 3D prints dance!

Maybe you've seen a little white cat figure with its arm waving in a restaurant entrance. We reverse-engineered the electronics inside it to create a simple, patent-pending circuit kit that can be added to just about any 3D printed figure to make it move just like the cat's arm! Select from our 3D models, or create your own!

DigiFidgets Models

Here are a few of the models that we have created for use with our kits. Our models are free for download so you can see how well they print on your printer. We also encourage makers, designers and hobbyists to create their own models using our Design Guide.

Creators are welcome to provide or sell their models as they like or simply sell completed Fidgets and retain their models for their own business use. Our patent-pending kit should work with most models that follow our Design Guide.

3D Print Pendulum Circuit Kit - PRE-ORDER ONLY

$12.95

>> Available for Pre-Order only. Kits will be available in November 2026 <<

Our patent-pending Circuit Kit is what powers DigiFidgets and one is required for each completed assembly. You can 3D print one of our models, or download and print one from a third party designer, or design and print your own using our Design Guide. Then you can install our Circuit Kit to make it move!

Each circuit kit includes a solar cell, printed circuit board (PCB), a copper wire coil mounted to its own circuit board for convenience, a strong neodymium magnet, all pre-soldered and assembled so all you need to do is install it in your 3D printed figure.

How The Circuit Works

HOW IT WORKS: The circuit is a pendulum circuit, which is a design that has been around for many years, but our version of it is adapted for 3D printing and uses modern surface mounted components to allow for the production of kits at a reasonable cost. Our patent application applies this technology to 3D printing. The pendulum circuit collects energy from the solar cell until a capacitor is fully charged and then will discharge the energy through the coil. This pushes the magnet on the moving portion of the fidget and starts the swinging motion. As the magnet swings back over the coil, the circuit senses this and sends more energy to the coil to push the magnet away again as it passes, just like pushing a child on a swing. This continues indefinitely as long as the system is not disturbed and there is enough light.

Most models require a standard steel bolt for ballast. The length of the bolt varies by model so it is not included in our kit, but should be available at any hardware store.

About DigiFidgets

Mission

DigiFidgets is here to provide a simple kit to bring motion to your 3D printed figures and bring joy and amusement to your day. We believe makers and creators will have many great ideas, and the best ones likely haven't even been thought of yet.

Our Story

Years ago, Todd Bailey was on a business trip and saw similar moving figures for sale in Japan and bought a few because they amused him. Over the years, he continued to enjoy them, and they reminded him to keep going when life gets tough, just like they do.
